You are Indestructible – Let Me Explain
I think it's good to sometimes remind ourselves of our true essence: the fact that we are more than our physical bodies, more than just limited to space and time.
Do you remember Boris Grishenko? No? He was a hacker and one of the main villains in the Bond movie GoldenEye. Clearly the best Bond movie Pierce Brosnan ever made. But foremost, Boris was a character that had a huge impact on me as a child. He had this thing he did where he double-clicked his ballpoint pen compulsively. I loved it and started doing it myself. As did almost all the other kids in my class.
But one thing about Boris that really stuck in my mind was his catchphrase: "I am invincible!" That’s the thing about Boris – he was arrogant, overconfident, a loudmouth, and a villain you liked.
This was a time when hackers were kind of superheroes – or, like in this case, supervillains. Just look at the promotional picture of Boris below: he looks like a bad-ass Harry Potter who has gone completely rogue.
Boris may not have been invincible. At least not in comparison with James Bond. But then, of course, there are few Bond villains who are… And let’s face it – James Bond is a fictional character after all. Still, I strongly believe that we are all, in fact, invincible. At least from the perspective that we are indestructible. That we are eternal.
And the fact that nothing can destroy us – and that we are eternal – means that we can’t be beaten. Meaning: we are all invincible.
I actually wrote about this in one of my first articles, A Mission of One. It’s actually a good piece in my own humble opinion, so give it a read if you haven’t yet. One of my key insights throughout my spiritual journey is the realisation that everything is energy. You and I, the room around you, the world outside, the Universe. Everything is energy. The same energy that was released in the Big Bang. We are literally living in complete abundance of energy.
E = mc²
But it’s not just that. Energy has some fairly interesting characteristics. The law of conservation of energy states that energy cannot be created or destroyed; it can only be transformed or transferred. Energy is thus indestructible and eternal – and so are you. If by “you” we mean your consciousness.
Your physical body is obviously not eternal. Nor is anything on Earth. We live in a reality where everything has an end, and that’s why we have such a hard time imagining what eternal means. It’s difficult to comprehend when all you see around you seems to be more or less temporary.
Given that everything is energy, we can also fairly assume that what we call consciousness is also energy. Thus, consciousness is indestructible and eternal as well. That includes the consciousness that you identify as yourself. Most people, however, identify with their physical body – the temporary avatar that they walk around with on Earth. That isn’t strange either, since that’s what you face every time you wake up in the morning. That’s what most people see when they look at you.
But that’s also part of the game – you are forced to identify with this flesh suit, not with your true self. The indestructible and eternal self. Call it your soul if you want.
But that said, we are not just staying the same in eternity. Like energy, we are transforming. That’s why we are here in the first place: to transform. And in order to transform energy, you need to add external forces – pressure, heat, motion. Incarnating on Earth could be described as just that. A way to put pressure, heat, and motion on our souls so they transform.
This is, obviously, what most religions are all about – some distant goal achieved by doing all of this, perhaps over and over again.
“But Sebastian, let’s be serious – could this not just be another illusion? That we’re in fact confined to our physical bodies, and our consciousness confined to our physical brains, and so on?”
My short answer is: no. The physical reality is the illusion. The material worldview is the illusion. In fact, we are completely drowning in evidence that suggests we are consciousness, not bound by our physical reality or our physical bodies.
I myself – and numerous others – have had out-of-body experiences. Leaving our physical bodies, travelling to other realities that seem not to be bound by the same physical laws as this one. These are worlds where Einstein’s theories do not apply.
We have strong evidence that telepathy is real. Hopefully we will even have peer-reviewed scientific proof for it in the not-too-distant future thanks to The Telepathy Tapes. And that’s merely the beginning.
We know that remote viewing works. That we can interact with our loved ones who have passed away. We have plenty of well-documented near-death experiences. Children remembering past lives with such accuracy that they identify the actual person they were in those previous lives.
I could probably go on and on for eternity about all the evidence for a soul not bound by physical reality – all the parapsychological research that is available and so on. But let’s face it, there’s really no need for further evidence. We already know this. Take all this together and the answer is simple. It’s a fact.
Yet, most people seem to neglect this knowledge. Or even worse, they may know it’s true, but they don’t know what to do with it. What does that mean for me when I try to get my life together? Going to that boring job with that awful boss. Stressing to get the kids ready for school. You know it’s true, but you act like you’re just a human. A naked man-ape. Homo-something-something.
Come on! I mean, you are a freaking light being of eternity and immortality! Sure, you were put here to feel some heat and pressure on your soul. To evolve. But that’s why you need to remind yourself of your true nature. In your true essence, you completely lack fear – because there’s nothing to fear when you are eternal and immortal.
We forget so easily what we are. We forget our powers.
But that’s the human experience. It’s designed that way – that we should forget. It’s part of the game.
To get out of this loop of cosmic amnesia, we need to go within. We need to take a step back. Breathe. And remind ourselves:
“We are energy, indestructible and eternal.”
Have a lovely weekend, folks!’

Thank you for sharing the sweet secrets of superlative existence, brother ✨✨✨
Beautifully written, Sebastian. Everything you said resonates with me and I feel all this, too, so strongly. It doesn't leave my mind any day. You have a really great way of making this knowledge accessible and understandable. Thank you for sharing it.
